Refried Beans with Spanish Rice and Tacos
STEAM TABLE PREPARATION FOR 30 OZ. BAG
- Add 2 quarts boiling water to a one-third steam table pan.
- Pour contents of package into water and stir briefly.
- Cover for 5 minutes, season to taste if desired, stir well and serve.
STOVE TOP PREPARATION
FOR SMALL QUANTITIES
- Bring 1½ cups water to a boil in a pan.
- Add 2 cups flaked beans, stir and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cover for 5 minutes, season to taste, stir well and serve.
MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS
FOR SMALL QUANTITIES
- Pour 2 cups water into a microwave safe bowl.
- Add 2 cups of flaked beans and stir briefly.
- Cover loosely and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
- Remove cover and stir beans well.
- Replace the cover and microwave an additional 2 minutes.
- Allow to sit 1 minute. Stir, season to taste and serve.
